Ares Lysander Headley is a writer, editor, designer, teacher of things, and imaginer of better worlds.
Ares (pronounced air-eez, like the Olympian) combines their messy lived experiences with theoretical elements of sociology, ecology, literature, campy horror aesthetics, and beyond to shed light on the connections, disconnections, and missed connections between and within human and nonhuman societies.

Poetry Lessons & Workshops
Ready-made poetry workshop series covering the basics of poetic study, form, and device and includes structured workshops and immersive prompt activities.
Developed in 2021-2022, Ares’ Poetry Workshop Series consists of four classes (approximately 2.5 hours) followed by a poetry showcase event to celebrate the accomplishments of students and encourage continued engagement with writing. The format is malleable and can be tailored to the needs and interests of various groups.

Background
Ares studied English literature, gender studies, sociology, and ecology at Ohio State University and the University of Delaware.
They have a background working in a wide variety of nonprofit and freelance settings, which has enhanced their natural resourcefulness and topic-matter-agility.
